Voice Over Direction…I’m All Ears
As writer, director and producer we’ve given our share of direction. But when we’re working for you on the other side of the mike, we are all ears.
A great read with solid articulation and emotional appeal is what we are after in any given voice over production but ONLY YOU know exactly what it is you are looking for. What style. What treatment. What tone. What pace. What level of energy. What point of emphasis to drive home and where to lay back and let the words do the talking.
So you want it delivered punchier and snappier and peppier, that’s what we’ll do.
Slower, softer, smoother? Ok. Get a little crazy. Fine. Sound a bit more twisted, devious, mischievous, demented. Alright. We can go there.
The point is writers and directors have my full attention when giving guidance and direction because we truly aim to please. And heaven knows, a great sound engineer can offer some pointers to help us get the perfect take in the can.
Listening is one of the most important tools a voice talent brings to the studio. And we make it a sincere effort to hear what exactly it is you are asking for and bringing that to its full potential. Working closely with you in the communication process is key to creating a great sounding and effective project. You want 20 different version of our WC Fields impersonation, “Well, yes, yes my little chickadee, that’s exactly what you’ll get.”
You get descriptive….we’ll get colorful…and together we’ll paint a picture!
My ability to ACT with my voice is what you pay me for….that, and my ability to LISTEN to YOURS.
Wild Game Nation Reality TV Series Voice Over Artist Marty Morgan
Reality Hunting TV series, Wild Game Nation, now in entering its 7th season chose the colorful voice of Marty Morgan as the show’s main voice over announcer beginning with its 5th season. In the video clip above Super Voice Talent Marty Morgan introduces the new episode and primes viewers for what to expect from an action packed series that features big time music celebrities, sports heroes, TV stars and plenty of BIG TIME Trophy Game. The show is hosted by the Busbice family from Olla, Louisiana and is sponsored by the best in outdoor brands including Wild Game Innovations, Barnett Crossbows, Flextone Game Calls and Black Rack Rattling Racks.
Providing a gravely and guttural southern style pitch for this top rated hunting program comes natural for Marty. But don’t let the country boy, backwoods enthusiasm fool ya. Marty’s voice over talent comes in variety of colors and he is as likely to be doing the sophisticated voice of an English Special Agent, a Texas Cattle Baron, a Swedish Sheep Herder or a Cajun Swamp Rat on any given day. When it comes to coloring up voice overs, from sweet sell to hard sell, from cool and collected to a chicken with its head cut off, you’ll find The Crayon Mouth Marty Morgan makes voice overs that are hard to beat! Just ask the producers of WILD GAME NATION. They’re some happy hunters (so to speak)!
